DAY 1 Kithulgala
Ayubowan to Sri Lanka. You will be picked up early in the morning from Colombo or Negombo and transferred a short distance on a private coach to cross the city limits. Today, we will cycle through the foothills of the mountainous central highlands region to reach the wettest place in Sri Lanka – Kithulgala. This is a typical rainforest area on the riverside with beautiful scenery. It is an adventure lover’s dream destination, offering white water rafting for the adventurer in you, along with many options for trekking and cave exploration. David Lean filmed his 1957 Oscar-winning epic "The Bridge on the River Kwai" here.
DAY 2 Nuwara Eliya
Today, we will be cycling towards the tea country of Nuwara Eliya. Also known as "Little England," Nuwara Eliya was the favorite hill station of the British, who tried to create the resort into a typical English village. We will cycle through the hill country with tea plantations all around, where the ever-smiling tea workers in their traditional saris are either Indian Tamil or Sri Lankan Tamil. The Indian Tamil population consists of descendants of migrant workers from India during the British colonial rule, while the Sri Lankan Tamil population includes those who migrated to Sri Lanka in ancient times during battles and conquests from South India. The Hindu temples and the small homes of the tea workers in these vast tea plantations are a sight to cherish and remember.
DAY 3 Kandy
After breakfast, we start cycling towards Kandy, renowned for the Temple of the Tooth Relic—a magnificent and highly venerated temple on the island. Later in the day, we will watch a Kandyan dance performance and visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic. The routes are undulating with a few climbs and many descents. Check into your hotel for lunch and enjoy the rest of your day overlooking the hill city of Kandy.

Your stay will be at a planter’s bungalow situated 1,000 meters above sea level, offering stunning views of the Knuckles mountain ranges.
